yesterday started out early. Before we got on the 'road' (jiffy lube, office, costco for tires) I had been sauced, peed on and yelled at by my children. Once on the road, a motorcyclist took a nose dive on 80 just before the park city exchange. all went well for about 5 hours and then hazel summarily rejected her car seat, in her sleep. so there were some set backs re time, but i will drag everyone out to the car in about 10 and drive as quickly and far as possible. realistically we probably won't make the mtg tonight but we will try our best.
road trips (as you all know) with kids is a little different than two adults acting out according to their wander lusts. at least they are cute and nice...sometimes.
this morning emmeline stepped on hazel, feel off her bed and exclaimed upon waking 'mom, did you guys get new beds?' the concept of motels are still new :). We'll sort it out though. We are enjoying the time together and especially the time to enjoy interacting with each without the stress of everyday responsibilities.
