We woke up today in Hannibal, Missouri. We were all very anxious to get packed up and out the door. We were excited not to see the family, necessarily, but excited to get to a hotel that we are staying at for more than a night. We've been in four hotels in six days and Blair is very tired of packing our baggage around and in and out and up and down. And we are excited to see the family.
We took an hour this morning to tour the Mark Twain cave. I remember reading Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn in school and wanting very much to see the cave. I have no idea why that appealed to me (not a fan of enclosed spaces) but it did. I also remember thinking that I would probably never actually get to see the cave. So, it was nice to mark that off my bucket list. Yay!
We then grabbed lunch and zipped up the road to Keokuk to get settled and ready for this reunion. I hope all goes well but if it doesn't I won't be to upset with Blair who is responsible for this entire reunion.
